Swift was established in 2005, and we are very proud that since that time so many
teams and rowers from many parts of the world have chosen our boats, and have seen for themselves
that we live by our motto, “Quality doesn’t have to come at a high price”.
Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved in the production and sale of our boats, and the trust placed in us by our customers, we were able
to sell over 700 boats in 2008, and despite the economic downturn, were able to maintain this in 2009.
Our focus has been to produce consistently good boats, that clubs recognise as comparable in performance to the
boats of Western producers, but at a fraction of the cost. To date, we have put little effort into the international
side of rowing. However, we are now confident that we have something to offer international teams.

Having said this, our boats have been rowed successfully at every level. We have many club teams who are winning events every weekend, from
small local regattas, up to National Championships, and also have boats used at world level every year since 2006.
Our aim has not been to be the cheapest builder in the world, rather to use our increasing size and resources to make a range of boats, all of which represent the best value in their part of the market. To us, this means 3 things:
- All of our boats are made using “sandwich construction”, with honeycomb used throughout our Elite and Elite Carbon boats. The hulls of our Club A and Club B boats use Lantor Coremat as the core material, which gives excellent stiffness and durability.
- The same high quality riggers, fittings and finishing on training boats as for those used on racing boats.
- A rigorous quality control system, with every boat checked for various criteria at each stage of production. Furthermore, all data is recorded and used for future development.
